HOW TO: Download Videos Online

I’ve noticed lately that, like myself, several webshow hosts have pulled their shows from MomTV and are now either hosting them on their own sites or have switched over to MingleMediaTV.com… The big issue with that is most of the accounts used for MomTV were created by MomTV so our video recordings of our live webshows that we use to offer replay-convenience for our viewers are at risk of being lost in transition. Or are they?

I downloaded my 15 episodes of Random Chaos
simply by playing them via Stickam.

How? Easy! Visit Clipta.com to download and install their toolbar in your browser. All you have to do from that point is point your browser to the website your videos are hosting on and press play. In your toolbar you will see this:

Just click {# videos captured} and you will see options to the right of each video that has been played to play the video, download it to your computer, or grab the embed code. Easy as pie! It is pretty quick but that also depends on your internet connection. It took me less than an hour to download 21 clips from 15 30-minute webisodes :)

That’s it. :)

Once you get your videos downloaded, you can upload them to your own Stickam account or opt to house them on another video sharing service such as YouTube. This toolbar works for just about ANY video on the ‘net. SCORE!!!
